Sago Palm

Cycas revoluta

  • Partial Shade to Sun
  • Regular Water

In youth (2 – 3 ft. tall) has airy, lacy appearance of ferns; with age (grows very slowly as high as 10 ft.), looks more like a palm. But it is neither – it is a primitive, cone-bearing plant related to conifers. Choice container or bonsai plant; useful for tropical look. Tough, tolerant house or patio plant. Make new plants by transplanting offsets (plants that grow near the base of the plant).
