Chinese Pistache

Pistacia chinensis

  • Full Sun – Deciduous Tree
  • Takes Aridity & Tolerates Water in lawns

Slow to moderate growth to 30-50 ft. Young trees often gawky and lopsided, but older trees become dense and shapely with reasonable care. Leaves with 10 – 16 paired leaflets 2 – 4 in. long by ¾ in. wide. Foliage colors beautifully in fall – scarlet, crimson, orange, sometimes yellow tones. Fruit on female trees bright red, turning dark blue. Reliable tree for street, lawn, patio, or garden.
