Ginkgo biloba

  • Full Sun – Deciduous
  • Water in Dry Season Until 10 – 20 ft. High- Then cut back to occasional watering

Graceful, hardy tree, attractive in any season, especially in fall when leathery, light green leaves of spring and summer turn gold. Can grow to 70 – 80 ft, but most mature trees are 35 – 50 ft. Usually grows slowly, about 1 ft. a year, but under ideal conditions can grow up to 3 ft. a year. In general, ginkgos are not bothered by insects or diseases. Resistant to oak root fungus. Can be grown narrow to spreading, or umbrella shaped.
