    In this project, the simplicity of the design is one of its most appealing demeanors. The mass of the pool and hedge, combined with the expanse of grass on both sides, creates an uncluttered and elegant composition. Despite the pool being a prominent element in the yard, it does not feel overwhelming. The light color of the pool gives a sense of spaciousness, while the hedge and lawns provide visual weight and balance, defining the space and enhancing the overall structural value of the landscape.

    Client’s Vision
    The client’s vision was to create a functional pool in a small backyard that went beyond the typical pool and deck layout. They wanted a space that was not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing and versatile.

    Achieving the Vision
    To accomplish this, we designed a yard and pool that are both functional and visually appealing:
    • Artificial Grass: We used artificial grass around the pool, which can tolerate chlorine and salt, does not get slippery, and withstands heavy foot traffic. This grass functions like paving, as there are no sprinklers watering it, allowing furniture to be placed directly on it.
    • Multi-functional Pool Area: The pool features a Baja shelf with an umbrella hole, providing a shaded area next to the spa. This allows bathers to easily move between the pool and the spa.
    • Versatile Pool Design: The pool is large enough to accommodate water sports, lazy floating, and simple swimming, ensuring it meets various recreational needs.
    • Fountain: At the end of the pool, a fountain was installed to serve as a focal point, create movement, and divert attention from the smallness of the yard. This addition enhances the visual appeal and dynamic quality of the space.

    By incorporating these elements, we fulfilled the client’s vision of a functional, versatile, and beautiful backyard pool area.
