This project implies movement as the steppers guide you right across the pool, separating the spa from the main pool. The steppers lead you to different areas – the doors of the house, the fire pit area, BBQ, and the sunning area next to the steps. The tire on a rope is a swing.
The modern rectangles are simple forms yet undeniably striking, drawing attention to the overall design. The large expanse of lawn creates value and an expansive mass that puts the pool at the forefront.

The patio area features significant texture changes, with smooth concrete intersected by dark gravel and a gravel seating area. The lawn further enhances the value of the space. It is easy to envision living in this backyard, enjoying a comfortable dining area while having a glass of wine with friends or an exquisite outdoor meal.

The owner’s vision of a pool with a large spa and contemporary design includes an outdoor room with ample lawn space for young kids to play. The contemporary features are highlighted by informal and natural planting around the perimeter, giving the effect that the hardscape, pool, dining, and kitchen all blend into the existing natural landscape.
